Charlotte Bobcats vs. Miami Heat NBA Free Picks
Coming into .Free Picks on Friday in NBA betting action, the Miami Heat have to be all smiles. They got a nice gift on Thursday in the form of a Boston Celtics loss, and now, they are running up against a bunch of Charlotte Bobcats that they have absolutely dominated this season. Charlotte really hasn’t looked like it has had much of a pulse of late. Sure, the team did force the Orlando Magic into overtime on Wednesday night, but it has lost four straight games, including duels to both the lowly Cleveland Cavaliers and the Washington Wizards. That loss to Washington was only the Wizards’ third win on the road all season long. Yikes. Gerald Henderson has done a nice job stepping into the void left by Gerald Wallace at the trade deadline, but it is clear that Henderson isn’t the answer for this franchise. He did have an awesome 32 point performance against the Magic, one of the best games of his entire career, and he now has 10 straight double digit scoring performances dating back into the middle of March Toto Online
Still, this is an offense that isn’t even averaging 93 points per game this season, numbers that just aren’t going to cut it against most anyone in the league, especially against a team that is as strong defensively as Miami is. Of course, we really thought that Miami was going to be able to hold down the Milwaukee Bucks as well on Wednesday night. In fairness, it wasn’t the defense for the Heat that proved to be devastating. It was the offense. Dwyane Wade was held out of the lineup, and he very well could be sat again in this one with the big showdown with Boston coming on Sunday afternoon. LeBron James did his thing with 29 points and eight helpers, while Chris Bosh scored 18 in that win against the Bucks, but no one on the rest of the team scored more than eight points. This is a disturbing trend that has been following Miami all season long, and it is really rearing its ugly head with D-Wade out of the fold.
The offense doesn’t have a single man averaging more than the 7.4 points per game of Mike Bibby, and he is the only regular scoring more than six points per game at this point as well. When the Big Three aren’t on their game, the Heat is really in a heck of a lot of trouble, and there is absolutely no denying that fact. However, we wish the Bobcats good luck just in stopping James and Bosh, two of the biggest powerhouses that this conference has to offer. Miami knows that it wants to make amends for that horrible loss to a down and out Milwaukee team, but it also knows that the game against the Celtics is far more important. Don’t be shocked if the Cats stick inside of the NBA odds just out of the fact that the Heat could really care less if they win or lose this one.
